Afternoon Striped Bass Success on Lake Texoma

The bite on Lake Texoma remains highly productive as we move further into the season. Today, Troy's Guide Service teamed up with another local charter to accommodate a large group, demonstrating how effective multi-boat coordination can be for locating and staying on active schools of fish. Working together allowed us to track shifting patterns efficiently and keep our guests hooked up throughout the morning.

The extra effort paid off with a phenomenal day of harvesting. Every angler on board contributed to a healthy team limit, including several high-quality "over" fish (Striped Bass measuring 20 inches or greater). The fish are showing excellent size and weight, actively feeding on fresh bait across major structures. As water conditions continue to stabilize and the fish get increasingly aggressive, the action is only expected to improve. Booking a trip now positions you perfectly to capitalize on this highly consistent seasonal pattern.

Teamwork Delivers Consistent Striper Action on the Water

Hardhead Sea Catfish

It was a beautiful, clear morning on Lake Texoma as the group and I headed out for a Morning Half Day Trip with Troy's Guide Service. April is a prime time for fishing at Lake Texoma, with the Striped bass and Hardhead sea catfish becoming more active in the warming waters. We met up at Madill OK at 6:30 am and got set up, excited to see what the day had in store.

As soon as we hit the water, we started working different techniques - deep sea fishing, jigging, trolling, and drift fishing - to cover as much ground as possible. It wasn't long before the rods started bending, and we were hooked up with some nice Striped bass. The fight was on, with the fish putting up a great battle before we carefully brought them into the boat. In between the Striped bass action, we also managed to land a few Hardhead sea catfish, making for a nicely diverse day of fishing.

The whole crew was energized and engaged throughout the trip, working together to locate the fish and help each other land them. Even when the bite slowed down for a bit, the camaraderie and positive attitudes kept the mood upbeat. We took the opportunity to take in the scenic surroundings, enjoying the peace and tranquility of being out on the water.

When it was time to head back, we had some great memories and fish stories to share. The Morning Half Day Trip with Troy's Guide Service is a fantastic way to experience the best fishing that Lake Texoma has to offer. Whether you're a seasoned angler or new to the sport, our knowledgeable guides will put you on the fish and make sure you have an unforgettable time on the water. Book your trip today and get ready for an amazing day of Lake Texoma fishing!

Heading out for an afternoon of fishing with the crew in Madill, Oklahoma was just what we needed. The weather was clear and ideal, and the team at Troy's Guide Service was ready to put us on some quality fish. March is a great time to target Striped bass and Wiper in these parts, as the warming waters have them feeding aggressively.

We started the trip off strong, working deep water with a mix of jigging and trolling techniques. The Striped bass were particularly feisty, putting up some incredible fights as we reeled them in. The Wiper weren't far behind, slamming our baits and testing our skills. It was a full-on deep sea fishing frenzy, with rods bending left and right as we boated fish after fish.

As the afternoon wore on, we switched it up and tried some drift fishing, working the banks and structure for more action. The variety kept things exciting, and everyone in the group was having a blast. Between the great fishing and camaraderie on the boat, it was shaping up to be an unforgettable day.

BOOM!!!

The weather was perfect as we set out on the lake today - clear skies and a gentle breeze that made the water calm and inviting. You could feel the excitement building as Will and I launched the boat and headed out to our first spot. These lake waters always have such a peaceful, serene atmosphere, and I knew we were in for a great day of fishing.

Will and I started off slow, taking some time to try different lures and see what the fish were biting on. The key was staying patient and focused, working different sections of the lake until we started to get some action. Sure enough, it wasn't long before Will hooked into something good. The fight was on, and you could see the concentration on his face as he reeled it in. When he finally brought it to the boat, we both let out a cheer - a nice solid s! It was a great start to the day, and I knew this was just the beginning.

As we continued exploring the lake, the catches just kept coming. There were a few good-sized g that put up an impressive fight, and then we moved on to find some f, o, and e. Every time one of us set the hook, it was an adrenaline rush. The lake was so peaceful and beautiful, but the water was alive with activity, and we were right in the middle of it all. I loved seeing the excitement on Will's face as he mastered each new technique and celebrated another successful catch.

By mid-afternoon, we had a nice variety of fish in the livewell, and the smiles on our faces said it all. This was exactly the kind of trip I love to share with my customers - a chance to truly connect with the water and the wildlife, to test your skills, and to create memories that will last. As we headed back to shore, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and appreciation for these special lake waters.

If you're looking to experience the thrill of lake fishing for yourself, I'd be honored to take you out. Whether you're a seasoned angler or picking up a rod for the first time, I guarantee you'll leave with a smile on your face and some great stories to share. So what do you say - ready to join me on the lake?

Embark on a serene lake adventure and reel in an abundant catch of s, g, f, o, and e - experience the thrill of lake fishing and create lasting memories with this exceptional guided trip.

Troy's Guide Service the Ultimate Fishing Charter Experience from Lake Texoma

Growing up along the water's edge, Captain Troy Ellefson II developed a deep connection to local lakes and rivers at an early age. While other kids focused on traditional sports or video games, Troy dedicated his formative years to studying the nuances of aquatic ecosystems. What started as an insatiable curiosity quickly evolved into a lifelong commitment to the sport of angling.

Over the decades, that childhood fascination matured into a professional guiding career built on local expertise. Troy has fished every environment from secluded ponds to expansive major reservoirs, refining his skills across a wide variety of freshwater species.
